Under Cloud accounts you store access keys for Open Telekom Cloud. MainPath uses them to create Kubernetes clusters (CCE) and optional databases (RDS) in your project.
Create an access key in the OTC console
- Sign in to the Open Telekom Cloud console.
- Open your username in the top right → My Credentials.
- Go to Access Keys and click Create Access Key.
- Copy the Access Key and Secret Key. The secret is shown only once.
- Note the domain name of your IAM account and the project name, for example
eu-defor the Germany region. Both appear under My Credentials next to the access keys.
The access keys must belong to a user who can create CCE clusters, networks, and RDS instances in that project.
Add the account in MainPath
- Open Cloud accounts and click Add cloud account.
- Choose Open Telekom Cloud.
- Enter a name, slug, and these values:
| Platform field | Source |
|---|---|
| Access Key | Access Key from My Credentials |
| Secret Key | Secret Key from the same dialog |
| Domain | IAM domain name of the account |
| Project | project name, often the same as the region, for example eu-de |
| Region | OTC region, eu-de (Germany) or eu-nl (Netherlands) |
- Save. Then select the account when you create a cluster under Kubernetes clusters.
